A. Introduction: Pakistan Yarn Merchants Association was incorporated under the companies Act-VII of 1913 on 24th November 1960 at Karachi to represent trade, Commerce, Industry or services in yarn sector on all-Pakistan basis. B. Objectives: The main objectives of PYMA is to promote, Develop, protect and represent Yarn Traders, Merchants, Importers & Exporters of Cotton & Mercerized yarn, Silk & Rayon Yarn, Woolen Yarn, Staple Fiber Yarn, Synthetic & all other types of Yarns. C. Structure: Pakistan Yarn Merchants Association represents all four provinces of the country and its central secretariat is located in Karachi. PYMA has two Zones ie Sind / Baluchistan Zone & Punjab & KPK Zone whose office is located in Faisalabad. Each year after annual Election office-bearer and members of Executive Committee takes official charge. The Central Chairman’s election are held on Rotation-basis between both the zones. PYMA has also established 07 Standing Committees namely Import / Custom, Law & Order, Budget, Taxation, Yarn Market Rates, Commercial Disputes & Co-ordination. Beside this, 03 Special Committees namely Special Committee on SRO-1125, Accounts & National Tariff Commission has been constituted. D. Membership PYMA (S & B Zone) possess a total membership of 250 members while Punjab & KPK Zone possess 425 Members. Founding Members. 1. Mr. Ahmed Abdullah 2. Mr. Ahmed Adaya 3.
