Bentazone is a tactile, selective
post-seedling herbicide.
Treatment at seedling stage,
through leaf contact. When used in
dry field, photosynthesis was
inhibited by osmotic conduction
from leaf to chloroplast. Paddy
field use, but also through the root
absorption, conduction to the stem
and leaf, hinder weed
photosynthesis and water
metabolism, so that physiological
dysfunction and death. Mainly
used to control dicotyledonous
weeds, paddy sedge and other
monocotyledonous weeds, so it is
a good herbicide in paddy fields. It
can also be used for weeding
wheat, soybean, cotton, peanut
and other dry field crops.
